Sandy is a city located in Clackamas County, Oregon, United States, and named after the nearby Sandy River. The city serves as the western gateway to the Mount Hood Corridor. Sandy is located on the Mt. Hood Highway (U.S. 26) between Portland and Mt. Hood where residents enjoy a mild climate, clean air, good water, beautiful scenic views in a country setting, and all the advantages of small-town living while being only 45 minutes from the urban amentities of downtown Portland.

Oregon Zoo
Milwaukie Oregon Lifestyle From bats to zebras and everything in between, it's all here at the Oregon Zoo. Check out the many exhibits that are featured including the Rain Forest, the Alaska Tundra, and the kids-only section at "ZooFun Safari". About 1,029 specimens representing 200 species of birds, mammals, reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates. Of these, 21 species are endangered and 33 are threatened. The zoo is currently active in 21 Species Survival Plans.

Cedar Crossing Bridge
When Multnomah County officials wanted a covered bridge, they built one to replace an earlier uncovered bridge. It is not supported by a wooden truss, but by a laminated stringer.

Portland Art Museum
Opened in 1892, the art museum was created for all citizens in the Portland area to enjoy. Permanent galleries include work from the Americas, Europe and Asia. Past exhibits have presented Native American Indians, regional artists, and the Stroganoff family of Russia.

Portland Children's Museum
Specifically designed for children under 10, this attraction is a child's sanctuary. The "Under Construction" exhibit allows children to pretend that they are architects and construction workers. Other exhibits include a babies-only room and a shopping area for older children to make them feel more grown up.

The Portland Center for the Performing Arts (or PCPA as we call it), is your premier arts and entertainment venue in the Pacific Northwest. Nationally recognized as one of the top 10 performing arts centers in the nation.

Sandy is located in Oregon's Mt. Hood Territory. The Mt. Hood area is home to 16 public golf courses providing both novices and expert golfers with challenging rounds. Many courses offer breathtaking views of Mt. Hood which some golfers claim distracting to their game, but the majority find exhilarating.
Greenlea Golf Course - You are invited to enjoy our executive course in the country. Greenlea was built for your pleasure and will test players of all skills. The nine hole course is made up of three par 4's and six par 3's, with two sets of tees. Our pro shop offers the small items you need for playing as well as rental clubs and pull carts.

The City of Sandy is proud of its ever-growing system of parks. Facilities range from neighborhood playgrounds to the 124-acre Sandy River Park. Park Board members meet monthly to advocate for an optimal system and are active volunteers in park improvement projects.

The fun starts 12 miles south of Portland's International Airport on I-205 at Clackamas Town Center, one of Oregon's largest malls.
