Gresham located in Multnomah County, Oregon about 18km east of Portland. It was named for the American Civil War general Walter Quinton Gresham. Ideally located in the Pacific Northwest, Gresham is Oregon’s fourth largest city. Home of the renowned Mt. Hood Jazz Festival, Gresham Oregon is known as “the City of Music”. The Gresham Civic Neighborhood
The Gresham Civic Neighborhood
Occupies portions of the largest undeveloped parcel on the Metro rapid transit line (MAX). The Gresham civic center, which includes city hall, are included in this neighborhood. The Civic Neighborhood is planned at relative high densities of mixed residential, commercial and retail uses in a design that features quality of life amenities and maintains the integrity of adjacent neighborhoods.

The Springwater Corridor is a former rail corridor that has been converted to an alternative transportation and recreational trail. It is the major southeast segment of the 40-Mile Loop, originally conceived in 1903 to form a nature trail encircling the city. Today the loop is over 170 miles long. The Springwater Corridor extends from SE Fourth & Ivon in Portland to the town of Boring. Within the corridor, the completed trail is 14 miles long, beginning east of McLoughlin Blvd. near Tideman Johnson Park, and continuing east through Gresham just past the Clackamas County line.

Oregon Zoo
Gresham Oregon Lifestyle From bats to zebras and everything in between, it's all here at the Oregon Zoo. Check out the many exhibits that are featured including the Rain Forest, the Alaska Tundra, and the kids-only section at "ZooFun Safari". About 1,029 specimens representing 200 species of birds, mammals, reptiles, amphibians and invertebrates. Of these, 21 species are endangered and 33 are threatened. The zoo is currently active in 21 Species Survival Plans.

Cedar Crossing Bridge
When Multnomah County officials wanted a covered bridge, they built one to replace an earlier uncovered bridge. It is not supported by a wooden truss, but by a laminated stringer.

Portland Art Museum
Opened in 1892, the art museum was created for all citizens in the Portland area to enjoy. Permanent galleries include work from the Americas, Europe and Asia. Past exhibits have presented Native American Indians, regional artists, and the Stroganoff family of Russia.

Portland Children's Museum
Specifically designed for children under 10, this attraction is a child's sanctuary. The "Under Construction" exhibit allows children to pretend that they are architects and construction workers. Other exhibits include a babies-only room and a shopping area for older children to make them feel more grown up.

The Portland Center for the Performing Arts (or PCPA as we call it), is your premier arts and entertainment venue in the Pacific Northwest. Nationally recognized as one of the top 10 performing arts centers in the nation.
